Words can't express how happy I was with my wonderful hat for the Golden Slipper. As you know, we were so excited with our horse Sweet Idea winning the Silver Slipper and therefore being an entrant for the Golden Slipper with a fighting chance too. I chose this occasion to have my first ever milliner experience and it couldn't have been better.
From your quick response to my website enquiry to the hours you spent talking with me on the phone and even visiting me on the Gold Coast to discuss the hat, take measurements and review materials. I really felt you knew exactly what I wanted and what would suit me and my outfit. I also felt you took such personal interest and shared in my excitement, and you were very patient with my many questions and over enthusiasm! The time turnaround was wonderful with you producing the finished hat within two weeks and made a special trip back down to the Goldy on Easter weekend so there were no last minute worries for me in the lead up!
The hat - WELL - what can I say? I had a vision in my mind's eye and you surpassed it. It worked so perfectly with my dress, just as I had hoped. I had so many compliments during the day including a number of ladies in the Owner's area who approached me and said how they thought I had done so well with my outfit and that the hat was clearly tailor made for the dress and just looked wonderful. I felt a million dollars all day, and it was still looking fabulous come the end of the day. We finished third and she ran her heart out, but the hat didn't see the winner's circle on this occasion. I have no doubt Sweet Idea and a Hat by Sandy A will share the winner's circle soon though.

I bought the beautiful pink and green hat from you on Sofitel Girls Day Out, I am sure you will remember. I just wanted to let you know I wore it to Ladies Oaks Day last week and I was stopped by quite a number of people to say how beautiful it was, I did let them know how I came by it and where you were etc. It was the most beautiful day, some days are diamonds it is true enough.
I cannot imagine the week you would have had before, you would have been exhausted and I have total admiration for anyone who can make such beautiful hats/headpieces etc quite an amazing accomplishment. Thank you for such a lovely creation and I am going to wear it to my daughter Candice's wedding in April next year.
I would certainly come back to you when I need another hat or headpiece. All the best Sandy and I will forward the photos !

Hi Sandy I have been looking at your site and wish to tell you that your millinery collection is really quite stunning. You are certainly one of the very few who can create so many styles that it is difficult to identify as one milliner, unlike other designs that one automatically knows who created them. Just love the individuality. Have been looking all night for a purple/aubergine hat for Royal Ascot. Any suggestions?

I really love the way you know how to create a hat to suit your client & of course the outfit plus "I love it because it is an original design.....no one else will be wearing 'my' hat!

"Wow, Hats by Sandy A has the most amazing, unique and spectacular hats I have ever seen. Thanks to Sandy, I won the best hat category at the Charleville Cup Races on 2nd November 2010. The hat gave me so much confidence and I am still today, 3 weeks later, getting comments on how fabulous my hat was!

It suited my dress & matched my shoe colour so perfectly that it enabled me to win best dressed on the day!!! I received so many compliments regarding the hat & its style/ colour, so I'm very grateful you could help me out.

The fascinator you made me is very beautiful, thank you for the wonderful job you did on it. It completely surpassed my expectations and I love it. Melbourne Cup celebrations on Tuesday, the staff from the cattle station I work on all met up in Coober Pedy and we attended a luncheon at the Opal Inn. It was the publican's 60th birthday which he topped off by winning $20,000 on Americain! So it was a fun day. I didn't win anything on the horses but was delighted when your fascinator won me the Fashions in the Field. I ought to point out that the field was limited...the Best Dressed Man won because he was the only one in the bar with his shirt tucked in! But I'm convinced that it was your fascinator and that alone that won it for me. I think that the judges just couldn't go past the innate gorgeousness of the fascinator.
My photo was taken for the Coober Pedy newspaper and then again when I won the Fashions in the Field so I'll send you the clippings. And I'll be in touch for next year's Melbourne Cup - I have a standard to maintain now!

Sandy, you made me THE most amazing head piece recently and I cannot thank you enough. Your designs are one of a kind, you really are my dream milliner and I am so fortunate to have found you. The only problem is that when I walked into your studio and looked around at all your designs, I wanted to take them all home with me!
